short note, shouldnt even need to say this really but if anyone out there hasnt got elliot smith's `new moon` ( a collection of rare songs, b-sides and stuff that never made it onto albums) then they should. if they havent got any of his stuff then you know that thing that sometimes wakes you up or pushes you into a dreamy state and you dont know why? that feeling that you've forgot something when you havent or that something should have happened but didnt? thats the space that this great man fills.
start with either/or, work forwards then backwards, then pick up your guitar.

no need to apologise, you are entitiled to you opinion. i am most definitley one of the miserable bastards who truly love this man and almost everything he had created in his painfully short life. to write what he wrote, the way he wrote it and the music he put it to sets him aside, for me, from the thousand others you mention my good man. he has a special place with me and connected. there maybe a thousand other tortured souls out there with a guitar and a recording contract but there is only one Elliot smith and til the day that i die his music will mean something more than you can understand, to me.
